As a professional educator it is my responsibility to make sure that all my students are given the skills and tools they need to help them to be successful in their next grade level. I currently teach AM/PM kindergarten which means I have to find fun and engaging ways to teach students all the skills they need to acquire in kindergarten in half the time that many of my fellow kindergarten teachers. I also have experience teaching preschoolers, ages 3-5 years old, both with and without disabilities. That job taught me to adapt lesson plans for all age and ability levels. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Child and Family Studies, along with an Early Childhood (birth-age 8) teaching license, and at this time I am pursuing my Master’s in Special Education.
