I have worked with students of all ages. I have taught elementary all the way to college level students. I have taught basic math,algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus and SAT math. I graduated from electrical engineering school. I understand what it takes to bring students up to speed. Over the years I have learned that students did not understand the subject because they did not master the basics. I will be there to direct and support the student; I like when the student works at the board or on the paper instead of me, so that they retain what is being taught. A Little Bit About Me...

I started tutoring classmates in seventh grade and tutored friends in college in Trigonometry. I have earned two BS degrees in Landscape Architecture and Computer Science with a minor in Math. this diverse education allows me to tutor in Math and Science as well as design and art. I have tutored part-time since 2004, mostly in high school Math, but have also assisted in Chemistry, CBEST, SAT, and GRE prep. I have also developed coursework and taught at UCSC in the classroom setting, and trained employees.
My first visit is just an assessment of where the student began to get lost regardless of the age or level. More often that not, they have to memorize their fractions to decimal to percentage conversion from 1/2 to 1/12. Given this underlying knowledge allows me to focus on the subject at hand.
