I have had the unique opportunity through my diverse educational experiences to work with many different types of people. My initial degree is in Social science from Alfred State University. Throughout my education at Alfred State University I truly believe I began to understand and appreciate others and their differences. I received my second degree from Cortland State University in Early Childhood Education with Inclusion. I had the opportunity to work with many different types of children. I also had many diverse experiences while teaching first grade in Florida. I am currently a substitute teacher and work everyday in one of four school districts in the Rochester area. I enjoy helping and tutoring kids. I teach ESL to adults on Monday and Wednesday nights and that is very similar to tutoring. I believe tutoring is very rewarding as a teacher and for the student. I am certified in both elementary and special education through SUNY Geneseo. I have been substitute teaching for the past three years while completing my Masters Degree through Western Governors University. I have tutored three students in reading, writing and mathematics.
