Overall, my style is fairly casual. I meet students where they are at and have a unique ability to take them to where they want to go. I believe in meeting students right where they are, and letting them progress at their own rate. I make learning as relevant as possible and incorporate many hands-on learning opportunities. I present information in a multitude of ways, using modifications and graphic organizers. School should be fun, and most importantly, it should make sense!!
After teaching for 12 years, I decided to step away from the classroom in order to spend more time with my own two kids. I taught in both Rochester City and Brighton, with kids in grades 7-12. Many of my students struggled in school for all different reasons. I would love the opportunity to work with you. School can be really frustrating, but it doesn't have to be. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been substitute teaching for 12 years in various subjects with a diverse group of students. I have also been employed as a home bound instructor for students with illness and or discipline matters for 2 years for grades 8-12. I have been tutoring privately for 12 consecutive years in multiple subjects. I have a bachelors degree in English Literature and 33 credits of teaching education at the graduate level. I have also worked summers at the YMCA with developmentally delayed adults and children.
