My teaching style is straightforward - proceed from the simple to the complex. It appears most subjects require this approach. I find it both helpful and important to try and relate situations encountered in day-to-day life to the specific subject problems.
I earned a BS in Aeronautics and have completed some graduate work in aerodynamics and meteorology. In addition to having given approximately 3000 hours of instruction in aviation subjects, I have authored several textbooks on aircraft design and construction. I've been both a research pilot and a captain on a cargo airline.

How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. That led to my doing teaching seminars, which led to consulting, which led to training, which led to my working with individuals as a life coach. I like to discover what my students already know about the topic and to expose any misconceptions. Brainstorming activities work well for me. A Little Bit About Me...

My creativity allows me to come up with different teaching ideas depending on the child's needs. Differentiated instruction has helped me to reach the needs of all learners and positive reinforcement has helped to motivate students to want to do well. I believe that the social aspect of a child's life is just as important as the academics. Once these needs are met, children are more apt to reach their fullest potential.
Ever since I was in high school, I have always enjoyed working with children in a variety of situations. I helped out in a second grade classroom and enjoyed helping students understand their classwork. Even in college, I enjoyed helping my friends with math and writing.
