A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is hands-on wherever applicable, such as in a laboratory envioronment. I use a great deal of humor too, and expect lots of student participation.
I am currently an electroincs instructor at UAF Community and Technical College. I have over 100 published technical articles, and am the recipient of the William Orr Technical Writing Award, conferred by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). I have just written a major book, "Radio Science for the Radio Amateur" to be published by ARRL later this year. For nearly ten years I was a development engineer for the UCLA department of Plasma Physics, and have worked in a number of different types of laboratories.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a life-long learner, currently in the final year of my Doctoral program in Business Administration. I have over 20 years of accounting experience in industries ranging from CPA firms through manufacturing and hospitality. I have been an online instructor for the University of Phoenix since July 2004, I also taught their Flexnet program (first and last week on ground in front of the students, remaining four weeks online). The epiphany moment when the student understands the material is what has created the drive to continue teaching and chase the Doctorate degree. After Academic Review Board approval of my dissertation, I plan to apply to teach with the University of Alaska system.
