I have attended Carolina Forest Elementary School, Ocean Bay Middle School, and Carolina Forest High School. I am now attending Horry Georgetown Technical College. I have had prior experience in helping or educating children/ people when I worked at Ripleys Aquarium as an Educator and also occasionally helped in Kids Club by helping children with homework and other questions and help they seeked. I started my college education in a community college, where i met many struggling students trying to improve their career opportunities. As a peer tutor at that school and in the jobs i have held since, I have developed a appreciation for the satisfaction that comes from assisting people with their coursework. I have an AAS and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, a minor in physics and two years of experience as a formal tutor. My teaching style is adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn. The approach to learning is what makes the difference. Being a mother, I love children and am very patient. I also know that kids have their own distinct personalities and I address each child as an individual person, with their own talents and ideas. There is nothing better than when a person's face lights up, young or old, when they "get it."
