A Little Bit About Me...

I have found that the best way to teach math is through analogy and real world examples. I prefer to teach general as opposed to specific methods, as these are more widely applicable. However general methods appear to be best taught through specific examples and with a great deal of patience. I am also a great fan of student encouragement as nothing can be done by the student if hey lack the necessary confidence.
I have been tutoring physics, mathematics and chemistry at the college for Naugatuck Valley Community for the past six years. I've been "teaching" people all of my business career. I always start with the underlying theory and immediately segue into a practical example of how the principles work.
