I have a very hands on approach to teaching. I would first explain how the problem is answered, then explain why it is answered in that fashion. I believe it is important to understand the why a problem is answered because then they can start to understand a little more about the keys to accounting. I would then help them with different problems in order for them to fully grasp the concept.
I graduated from Fresno State in 1990 and have worked in the private sector ever since. I started out as an entry level accountant and worked my way up to Chief Financial Officer.
