My comments on tutoring Drawing : I received my bachelor of fine arts degree in Studio Arts and Graphic Design, so I am confident teaching any style or use of medium in Drawing.

I go as fast or as slow as the student needs. I encourage students to try new techniques and ideas so they are self-aware of the process and learning experience that leads to self-improvement and development.
During the school year, I work as a curriculum coordinator and art teacher for an after school program in Lexington, Ma. This is my 6th year of teaching stimulating and unique art projects to children in grades K-5. I have interned as a graphic designer and also had jobs as a wedding photographer. During the summer, I work as an assistant director to a summer enrichment program in Winchester, Ma. I believe I have a natural ability to work with students of all ages. Tutoring and being able to help students understand certain topics is very rewarding for me. I truly enjoy doing helping others. I had the opportunity to begin my teaching career in Miami, Florida. I taught 4th & 5th graders at a private academy. I was able to learn much from my students who represented more than 15 different countries. My semester immersion experience in Costa Rica helped me to understand my students and their families better. While in Miami I tutored 5 different aged children, in various home and school settings. I like to get to the point of certain problems, such as reading the child/student when I see them, ask them some questions about the subjects they need help in and why they need help. I have worked with Infants-School age for over 5 years, and enjoy being there to help someone in need. I believe in giving back, because so many of us are blessed already.
As an early childhood teacher, I have had several opportunities to help children (school age), to do homework. I also was a tutor in high school to a boy for just Algebra, which then turned around to being all of his subjects and helping him keep on track. The hardest thing for me was that he had only lived in the U.S. for four years, and had trouble speaking English. After each session of tutoring, I would grab the Scrabble board, which encouraged him to use more words, learn new words, and have fun while doing so.

Having recently earned my Bachelors of Arts Degree from Assumption College in Worcester, MA, I returned home to Rhode Island to pursue my certificate in Secondary Education.
