I've worked extensively while attending college tutoring both as a volunteer in public schools and as a personal tutor. While tutoring in a public school setting I worked both with individual students and small groups in math and science classrooms. I am a registered and licensed Life Science Educator through the university I attended and additionally I am a registered and licensed Environmental Educator through an independent program with the state of Ohio. Everyone learns differently. I think by involving as many of your senses you are able to learn and retain information better. Teaching information and giving examples that are relavent to the student's life and experiences help teach the student that learning is important.The advances in technology and utilizing these resources are very important.
