Microsoft Office is one of my top subjects! I have been training students in the Microsoft Office applications since they were released almost thirty years ago. I've developed and marketed training materials nationwide, and am the author of Excel Basic Training, Excel VBA Basic Training, and Word Basic Training.

From 1990 to 2000, I was an international Excel, Word, and Access trainer and lecturer for Dunn & Bradstreet Business Education Services. During this period, I trained over 25,000 people in 48 states. My company was allied with WORLD BOOK ENCYCLOPEDIA as the World Book Education Technology Training Group, a program that trained educators nationwide. Following my graduation from the University of Connecticut I pursued a career in the insurance industry but have also spent time working as a youth group leader and worked as a part-time tutor for several years. While living in Connecticut I tutored homebound high school age children who were either out on medical leave or expelled for disciplinary purposes. They ranged from grade 5 to 8. With Breakthrough I worked one-on-one with students as well as in a classroom setting in which I conducted my own lessons. I first began tutoring under the direction of Nancy Donohue-Berthiaume at Quinsigamond College. I turored in Introductory Accounting, basic and college level mathematics. In my Sophmore symester, I was presented with a challenge. A young man who was both Dislexic, and Mathlexic was failing basic mathematics. In less then 1/2 hour, I was able to help him go from failing grades to straight A's. Later, I tutored fellow students in Pre-Calculus while taking the course myself. I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y.
