A Little Bit About Me...

High School Mathematics Teacher at Green Island High School 9/04 to present. I developed a real world based curriculum for third year mathematics students and instructed mathematics classes grades 9-12 (Math A, Math B, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Tech math, Pre-calculus and Calculus) High School Business and Mathematics Teacher at Bethlehem High School from 9/04 to 6/06 I also developed and instructed real world, practical and hands on lesson plans. Incorporated various forms of technology and current events material into lesson plans. I organized and implemented course related field trips to areas such as: NYC, Selkirk Cogen, Owens Corning, etc. and developed student centered, projects and evaluation rubrics.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very hands on, activity based teacher. I follow the rule of Explain, Example, Exercise. I make sure to have many different types of learning so that each student can be successful. I want my students to be excited about my class, so I am always changing and molding my activities to stay current. I have a classroom that is full of colors, and ideas. I try to get my students to have a higher level of thinking, and help them along with inquisitive questions, and opened ended statements.
I have a BFA in Graphic Design and a MS in applied technology education. I am also currently pursuing my administration certification. I have been an adjunct professor at a local 2 year college, and I have been teaching 7-12 grade since 2006.
