Finance is one of my top subjects! Series 7 Exam

I have over 20 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to that time I have over 10 years with a hedge trading options. I also have a couple of years experience teaching basic accounting and tax courses as an Associate Professor at Longview Community College in the Kansas City area.
I use the basic visual and auditory but the vast majority I use is "Learn by Doing". A hands on approach by the student creates a much higher retention rate in my experience.

In addition I used my experience in construction and woodworking to build and market patio furniture. Unfortunately the housing depression of the mid 2000's caused the business to be non profitable and was closed. Since 2005 I have been semi retired and used my construction experience to work at a lumber and hardware store.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was a substitute teacher in 1993 for Toledo Public School systems. I have earned two bachelor's degrees, one is in Psychology, the other in Accounting. I also have 6 years of retail management experience which included training new staff and refresher training on computerized cash registers and company policies and procedures. I also have self-taught myself Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as a variety of computer software.
I utilize visual as well as verbal examples as I have found everyone has different methods for learning. I'm not afraid to use coins/checkers, etc., for teaching math.
