I prefer a "hands on" approach in a one-on-one environment. I have had success with classrooms of up to 120 students, but I prefer the individual monitoring. It yields the best results. I have tutored remedial reading at the Elementary level for a tutoring service out of Phoenix, AZ for the Washoe County School System in Reno. While in my undergraduate study, I tutored fellow students who were struggling with beginning music theory. Another classmate and I taught classes in 4 levels of theory for up to 120 students while at U of P-West Chester. I teach Music Reading, Voice production and beginning theory to individuals in my church choir as well as microphone and performance technique.

I believe all students can achieve success given the right learning experience and motivation. There are many ways to explain any subject. If one explanation does not make sense, it is usually possible to find another way to say, write, draw or demonstrate the same idea.
