However, the parents and elders expect results and it is very satisfying to see the children respond with good answers and, especially, with good questions for me. I have learned so very much from my students. I have taught and encouraged little ones from toddlers to 12 years of age, both boys and girls. During my undergraduate work I was a teacher’s assistant (T.A.) for two years. As a T.A. it was my job to run physics for other undergraduates. This included both the calculus based physics and non-calculus based physics. I also worked with an elementary teacher as part of an outreach program to bring science into the class room. Two times a week I would travel to the class room and teach the kids (4th graders) science. Having a BS is physics gives me a great foundation in math.
