I have always loved children. Children are precious and all have very unique learning techniques. When I was a senior at Maryville High School, I taught Spanish to first graders. My partner and I were in charge of making lesson plans and fulfilling these plans for each class. I really enjoyed seeing the children get excited about learning.
I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach.

When teaching, I want to instill in each child a love for learning. I do this, first of all, by setting the mood of the classroom - meaning, I make it conducive for learning with an attitude of happiness and respect for each child; believing that I can find attributes that I like about each child, and making the atmosphere pleasant, cozy, and fun. Secondly, I instill the class rules with positive outcomes so the environment is always positive. Usually this takes about a week of consistency, then my class is ready to take off! I also was employed by the University to grade papers and offer assistance to underclassmen in the Chemical Engineering department.
