A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children. I am patient, kind and believe in utilizing intrinsic and extrinsic forms of lessons so that children develop a love of learning and see the short term rewards and long term rewards.My goal is to help a student succeed.
I am currently heading for a BS in Elementary Education while I am home schooling my children. I have home school grades 6-11. I have accomplished raising reading levels within 6 months past 2 grades past level. I have tutored and home schooled children outside my own and have been asked to assist children with reading. My shelves are currently equipped with grade K-10 curriculum and I am ready to provide part time and full time education on several subjects or one

I once was called an “eternal pupil” by a fellow teacher; it is easy to see why. After receiving my BS in Business Education I immediately returned to college to earn my MS in Business Education. Since receiving my masters I have completed 127 additional college hours which certified me to teach journalism, social studies, English, computers, and humanities at both middle and the high school levels. Traveling extensively through many nations has enhanced my teaching of all social studies subjects as well as customs around the world.
