I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. My teaching style is to captivate the student's interest with hands on activities that demonstrate academic concepts. After the student understands the concrete real life connection, then we move into the abstract representation of the same concept in print. A Little Bit About Me...

As a teacher or tutor it is very important to realize that everybody learns differently. Because of this you have to strive to find the way your student learns and utilize creative ways to make sure the student understands what you are teaching to them. In my experience I have used pictures, words, books, varying explanations, and multiple examples to teach.

Children and adults learn in different ways. Visual, auditory, kinesthetic are three ways that people can learn, I happen to be mostly kinesthetic. I alter how I teach depending on what my students need and what the resources are. I do use a constructivist teaching style to do this. I do believe that a student rises to the expectations of the instructor.
