My comments on tutoring American History : Exploring all areas of American History, linking literature and drama to help students understand the concepts and events.

I recently obtained my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where I graduated in the top of my class with a 4.0. While there, I often tutored people in writing and research, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant for various classes including: Theatre History, Voice for the Actor, and Shakespeare. In addition to my degree in Theatrical Performance, I received a minor in English Literature. Since I've been home, I've been helping some of the younger members of my family with their writing and study skills, and their grades have greatly improved since we've started working together. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in marine biology in 2002 and then worked as a research biologist for two and a half years before returning to school to pursue my master’s degree. I believe that my hands-on scientific experiences combined with my academic background allow me to convey difficult concepts to students.
