My comments on tutoring World History : I received a 7 in Higher Level History in my International Baccalaureate exams, in addition to a 790 on AP World History. Throughout my undergraduate career I specialized in the history of the Middle East and South Asia, with an emphasis on the 20th century.

As a student, I understand the importance of a good teacher. I always try and help the student find and correct their own mistakes, rather than merely giving them the corrections. I have found that the listening is one of the most important tools that a tutor has at their disposal: in my experience, the student knows where their weaknesses and difficulties lie, even if they are unable to articulate the problem areas. Therefore, as a tutor, I always try and listen carefully to the student and adapt the lesson to each students respective needs.

The creative tract allowed me to experiment with my own abilities while keeping in mind strategies implemented by others I have read and studied. A requirement for all English majors at the university was to have intermediate skills in a foreign language.
