I am very flexible with my communication style, and can easily and quickly assess and tailor my teaching style with whomever I am teaching. I like thinking of sharing knowledge as a mutual endeavor, and less like a one way street. While I may "know" more about a particular subject, it is always refreshing to share knowledge with others who may develop a different, unique, and interesting perspective with the material, as human development and advancement does not happen alone. A Little Bit About Me...

My approach to teaching is comprehensive and challenging. I believe in getting to know the strengths and weaknesses of my students and customizing the curriculum for optimum growth. My approach is to empower the students to achieve by teaching them the steps to attacking a challenge and working them trough it. Then I believe students have the support and stamina to increase the rigor of their curriculum. Once they realize how much they can achieve and that they have the tools and support, they are much more likely to take on the challenges set before them.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Whitworth University's teacher certification program. Since then I have successfully substitute taught in three school districts in the K-12 arena.
