As a recent Purdue University graduate, I have had the opportunity to learn about the most current and effective teaching strategies. I have worked with students who range in ability, from children who are highly-abled to children with special needs. My previous experience includes being a babysitter, camp counselor, daycare provider, Sunday School teacher, mentor, tutor, teaching assistant, and I have had multiple classroom experiences through my Purdue courses. I also taught a summer chemistry class for highly-abled elementary students and student taught in the first grade. My teaching style is to find out what a student is good at and build on that success to improve areas of concern. I use humor and a laid back style with organization and skills to increase probability of success in academic areas. I believe every student is different and learning styles are unique.
