I am enthusiastic about what I teach, and I let students take the lead in solving problems to build independent skills and confidence. I'm a recent graduate from Brown University, with experience tutoring at the middle school, high school, and college levels. A Little Bit About Me...

In the classroom I rely on traditional lecture, supplemented by Powerpoint presentations, animations, and lists and diagrams on the white board. I usually assign a research paper. In the last few semesters I've implemented through Blackboard some online testing, as well as tutorial "homework" quizzes, where the students get feedback directing them to coverage of particular sections of the text. I always try to make students aware of how the detailed, technical concepts of the moment fit into the "big picture," making references both to material previously covered and to material yet to come.
