highly motivated German student-teacher

I am a German student for biology and chemistry and want to become a teacher. I have done my middle examinations here in Germany which are comparable to a Bachelor Degree. I have helped several pupils to get better marks at school here in Germany - in English and Mathmatics. I have done several internships I had to do at schools in Germany. My best experience was when I did two chemistry lessons on two days at a class in its last year at a German college (German word: Gymnasium) - on the second day (after my lesson of the first day) five pupils from other courses wanted to join my lesson - in their free period! Making science understandible

Like to meet one a week for an hour or two to review things learned in class and meet 3 days before exam for 2 to 3 hours to make sure student is ready and confident.
Tutored freshman biology for 2 years. With time and a motivated student I have seen my students bring grades from D after a midterm to B by the end of the semester. I try to help my students better understand biology rather than just ask them to memorize. Genetics for 1 year. the secret to this class is practice and that is a lot of what I will do during our sessions is go over problems so you feel comfortable with the material.

I really love science. Too often I have seen the subject matter made unnecessarily complicated, dry, boring, and irrelevant. It does not have to be that way. I am passionate about helping people discover how fun and exciting science can be! I often use analogies to help explain complicated concepts, relating something known to the unknown. For example, I've explained the complex process of DNA replication, transcription and translation using the analogy of baking brownies from a recipe.
