I graduated with my Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees and earned my General Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education teacher certifications through Southern New Hampshire University. I graduated with honors and made the Dean’s or President’s List every term. I have had over 5 years tutoring students in Kindergarten to College students in all content areas. I have over 9 years working with children ages infant-adult. I have worked in many public and private schools where I worked with a variety of disabilities in the inclusive and self-contained settings. My passion is teaching and learning. A in AP U.S. History in High School, B.A. in International Relations and Russian Post-Soviet Studies from The College of William and Mary (3.4 GPA). 6 years of Russian language study, including a 6-week study abroad program in St. Petersburg, Russia, and 1.5 years living and teaching ESOL in Novosibirsk, Russia. 10 years of competitive running experience, including being captain of High School and University cross country and track and field teams.
Relaxed. I do not discipline students. If students want to learn they will put in the effort - I will not be their babysitter. I try to make class interesting, involved, and active, and to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

In my classroom one might observe the same material presented in various ways by means of lectures, DVD documentaries, readings, discussions, and Power Point presentations in order to accommodate the students’ different methods of knowledge acquisition.
For the last four years I have been at Cardigan Mountain School, where I taught English, Latin, Homeric Greek, ESL, and Ancient History. I collaborated with the English Dept., providing, via Power Point Lecture Presentations, the historical background to Tennyson’s epic account of the Light Brigade at Balaklava and Shakespeare’s Henry V, and, as part of the eight grade history seminar, I delivered a forty-minute lecture on Hitler and the Holocaust.
