For over three years I worked as a writing tutor for Southern Utah University's Writing Center where I helped students improve both their academic and creative writing. As an undergraduate at SUU, I also taught poetry writing to high school students and facilitated creative writing workshops. I have also tutored students in reading and mathematics.
While much of my formal education is in English, I am a student of multiple disciplines. I am currently pursuing a BS in physics and recently completely one year at the University of Utah As a teacher, I bring passion for both creativity-based and logic-based subjects. I don't subscribe to the right-brain/left-brain paradigm. I believe students can be strong in both mathematics and writing, and it is my desire to help students realize this, because so few people do.
