A Little Bit About Me...

Though I recently graduated with a BS in Childhood and Special Education, I have many years of experience as a teacher/trainer. I currently substitute teach Per Diem in several local districts for K-12 students. I also have gained classroom teaching experience through student teaching and field work. Prior to that, I tutored several fellow students at Monroe Community College, and volunteered as a tutor/mentor for Rochester City School District High School students, through the Liberty Partnership Program at MCC. In many of my previous positions, I was responsible for training employees. All children and adolescents can successfully acquire and process new information. Many students encounter difficulty learning in a traditional school setting because the large class sizes do not afford the teacher the time to learn about each individual and attend to his or her specific needs. As a tutor, I find my students' strongest learning modalities. In doing so, my students learn to trust and respect me as a person and see me as a support.
