My expectations are very high and I always push my students to do "just a bit better" than they think they can at that moment. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a substitute teacher and work everyday in one of four school districts in the Rochester area. I enjoy helping and tutoring kids. I teach ESL to adults on Monday and Wednesday nights and that is very similar to tutoring. I believe tutoring is very rewarding as a teacher and for the student.

A Little Bit About Me...

While earning my bachelors degree in chemistry at Ashland University, I tutored several students who were taking general or organic chemistry. I also taught polymer science labs in graduate school to fellow research assistants during my first year of study. I taught chemistry labs and classes for one summer to high school students in an Upward Bound program. A Little Bit About Me...

I finished my degree by going to summer and night school; I graduated in 1979. I was the first in my family to go to college and I am very proud of that. I have become a much better writer and am much more aware of grammar through writing reports, technical papers and SOPs. For a couple of years I volunteered for Literacy Volunteers because of my love of reading.
I like working with children. They are so appreciative and excited when they learn and figure out a new word or anything. I am easy going and very supportive. GIven a good learning atmosphere, good support, encouragement and enthusiasm and children can learn.
