I have been working with Microsoft Access for over seven years in the real world environment of health care insurance. My experience is not tied to the basic and safe approach of a typical classroom environment. Instead, I have had to learn and survive under the pressures of deadlines and required performance. I feel that this fact gives me a unique perspective, that can be shared with the would be Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel developer. My talents include but are not limited to creating pivot tables, using formulas to solve math problems and to automate calculation, VBA (Visual Basic for Application) programming, SQL, ODBC connections and user form creation. I feel that my understanding and empathic nature makes me an ideal tutor for any child or adult student looking to gain a foot hold on the IT world.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and showing them something new. I feel a sense of reward when a student of mine realizes that they have a new concept. When the lightbulb comes on it is the best feeling in the world. I believe that given the right tools and the right environment all students can learn anything that they put their minds to. I am not a dictator in my teaching style, more of a teammate. I work alongside students guiding them to the next step. I am a fan of I do, we do, you do. Range

While earning my Masters in Accounting, I voluntarily tutored Undergrad students that were earning their Associates or Bachelors in Accounting. The students were enrolled in the local community college (Central Carolina Tech) as well as the University of South Carolina. I have earned an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters which all have concentration in Accounting. I tutor based on the individual's learning needs. I have encountered some that were visual learners ad everything had to be drawn/written out. I have also tutored students that can have me explain it and they grasp it easily. My teaching style changes according to the needs of the student because not every one learns the same. I do believe Accounting is a complex field and the student has to have an interest in the field to truly be successful in retaining what they are taught.
