I am studying Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Cincinnati. I will graduate in May 2015. I have taken and excelled at Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Cell Structure and Function, Genetics, Biology, Ecology/Evolution. I have also taken math through Applied Calculus I. I was awarded University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College's Biology Student of the Year in 2013. I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and also the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Science is similar to math where it is important to practice problems. I mostly tutor Organic Chemistry, in which I prefer to help individuals work out extra practice problems (or those assigned by the teacher) to practice concepts. I have taken education classes at Northern Kentucky University. At one point, I was considering on being a Art Teacher. I didn't finish with that path, but I did gain much experience with children and knowledge during that time in working with students. I have worked and studied special needs children as well. I still consider going back for a Master's at some point in education. I think this job would be beneficial in my goals, and for my students, and a great learning experience for us both.
I am not overbearing. I am laid back, but at the same time, I make sure that the student learns what he/she needs to learn. I am very patient. I try to respect the student and not make learning seem like a chore. Building a foundation of learning skills, even during a short tudoring session can really change a student's approach in all of their classes.

I have earned a BS in Mathematics with Actuary Emphasis. This allowed me to become very well-rounded as I studied Finance, Accounting, Business, and Computer Science along with my Math core. As an English major, I spent all 4 years at my private instutition tutoring my fellow students, not only in English and writing courses, but in all academic classes in which I had received a grade of "A" or "B". 3 of my 4 years at Lindsey Wilson were spent in the Education department, as I originally wanted to be a high school English teacher.
