My comments on tutoring Spanish : I have been taking Spanish classes for the past six years and am well qualified in reading, writing, and speaking.

I am a rising high school senior and I have been taking Spanish classes through my school system for the past six years. This past school year, I have completed a college level Spanish course offered at my high school (the highest Spanish offered through the school system). I have a passion for Spanish and foreign language (I also speak beginner level French) and am hoping to pursue these interests in college. Over the past six years, I have helped several students in my classes and lower level Spanish classes with grammar, vocabulary, verb tenses, and other aspects of the Spanish language. While I do not hold a degree in the language, I am well-versed in beginner through medium level Spanish and am a great option for K-12 students, or anyone interested in beginning to learn Spanish. If you watch me closely during our sessions, you can see me secretly paying keen attention to you and how you learn best. For example, you might say, "It LOOKS like they want me to factor here." And I'll think, "Aha! LOOKS. Maybe you're a visual learner and like to SEE things explained and SEE examples. (About 80% of students are visual learners.) On the other hand, you might say, "It sounds like they want me to factor here." And I'll think, "Aha! sounds. Maybe you like to HEAR things explained, and you're a keen listener and like to hear things described clearly and specifically. Or maybe you'll say, "I FEEL like they want me to factor here" (as you tap the problem with your pencil). And I'll think, "Aha! FEEL. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate from Roanoke College, I was very determined and enthusiastic about my degree in Biology throughout my time at Roanoke. I have earned a bachelor degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. I am a moderate spanish speaker and reader. Both of these areas of study have given me a wide spectrum of education. I specifically know many biology techniques within the laboratory, how to write lab reports, identification of many organisms whether it is a plant or an animal. I have assisted students in beginning Spanish classes as well as Biology.
I love to assist, teach, and be around kids. Throughout high school and college I have enjoyed helping and watching kids.
