My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I have worked with many students who have ADD/ADHD and developed strategies to help them become successful and confident in school.

I have been working with Elementary aged children for over 7 years. I have had many different teaching experiences working with grades K-2. I have tutored primarily in reading with an emphasis on guided reading strategies, phonemic awareness, and word building. In the area of math, I have experience with the programs: Calendar math, Investigations, and Singapore Math. For Writing, I have used the Lucy Culkins Program as well as 6 Traits writing. My goal is to simply to help. Everyone can learn, even in subjects they find difficult. I understand from first-hand experience why people can find the sciences difficult, especially Math and Physics, because I myself have had great difficulty with them in the past. So I know how hard it is, and I know that its possible to succeed despite this. I think the key is for someone to find a method of studying that works for them, and everyone is different.
