I worked in the financial sector for 10 years and have a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance. Since then I have focused my efforts into freelance teaching, and have worked with students in a variety of subjects: chess, math, finance, language arts, history, piano, and writing, among others. Other subjects I’ve studied informally: literature, language, history, politics & government.

I have always had a knack for the sciences and left the Midwest to follow my love of Marine Biology. While in school, I revisted my interest in the arts (painting, piano, and animation). Because science is a "hands-on" subject, I feel it is extremely important to use demonstrations, examples that are relevant to every-day life, experiments and anything else that will help students understand the world around them.
