I don't have a set style. I try to evaluate how the student learns and build from there.
I tutored elementary students while in high school. These students were the ones with slight learning disablities. I tutored in college both in chemistry and biology but mainly chemistry. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I am a patient experienced doctoral student, and my goal is to work with each student to help them master Algebra 1, and dramatically improve their grades.

I teach exactly how I study. I discovered as an undergraduate student that a student has to have a plan of action when taking any course. You cannot just study without a plan and expect to score highly in a test. My teaching method has been tried and tested by me,so much so that I have consistently scored highly in most of my courses from undergraduate through graduate school and into the doctoral program. I will share my secret study methods with my students.
Patience, repetition, mini quizzes, and following a plan, pretty much summarize my teaching style. I also like to make my students comfortable, by being understanding, encouraging them to ask questions, and being very willing go over material that I have covered. My goal is to help my students improve their grades, and while doing that, to also help them love to learn.

If you are not willing to learn the material, I cannot help you. I will ask questions about your personal learning preferences before we begin(auditory, visual, hands-on, etc.). Lesson-planning will be made according to how you want to learn whether or not it is reinforcement or new material.
