I often use word games or riddles as rewards for good work. It motivates effort from my students and makes them listen more closely. With my esl students, I made sure to apply new words to their life in order to gain the most retention of the new vocabulary words. The approach I use of ask students to draw from their own lives in order to illustrate meaning and comprehension encourages a dailogue that works well with any vocabulary words for any age group.

I am a recent graduate from Miami University. I have a degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Social Studies Education and my teaching certification is currently pending.
