Guitar is one of my top subjects! I have been playing guitar since the late 1990s. I have played in numerous bands with styles ranging from folk, blues, and jazz to rock, pop, and alternative.

I have professionally tutored Math and English as an employee of Ohio University, in a private junior-high and high-school academy, and on an individual basis. I taught a semester of Elementary French at Ohio University in Athens. I am always willing to tutor any subject, but my greatest academic strength lie in language learning. English has long been my strongest subject, and I am fluent in French as well (please see the comments in my subject listing). I am also a long-time musician and singer-songwriter and would gladly provide guitar lessons.

Excellent, Engish-1st-Language Math, Science & Music teacher

I have been teaching math at the college level for the past 10 years. I have taught pre-algebra, intro to algebra, college algebra, pre-calculus and calculus I at various local universities. My teaching style is casual and hands-on. I start with a discussion of the subject matter from a big picture perspective, to underscore the significance of the issue from an overall business management perspective. I move on to a discussion of definitions and fundamental concepts. I tend to communicate graphically, and enjoy drawing diagrams and charts. Next, I would move into an example illustrating the concept using very simple numbers. Finally, I would use actual problems or assignments from a textbook to ensure accurate application of the definitions and concepts that have been learned. I am patient with the learner.
