I had volunteered my time to tutored some kids in my neighborhood. This was the time while i was in college. I have tutored the subject of Math 8th grade level and Math in the second grade level. I have volunteered to tutored a friend in college the subject of French at Hunter College. She received a good grade and was happy. I was able to make a good impact on their learning and achievement.
I would explain to the students the rule of grammar in French and the rule of mathematics, set up some problems for them to resolve and this way they have a very good understanding of the subjects and able to perform on the subject independently.

A Little Bit About Me...

After I graduated from university I have been working as a Spanish teacher for two years and I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. I have experienced both teaching at elementary school (Dino School of Prague) and high school levels (Austrian High School). In addition since November 2011 I have been working for the worldwide non-profit organization created by the Spanish government called Cervantes Institute in Prague where I acquired a really valuable experience and the knowledge of the best techniques and methods of teaching a foreign language. I also attended several courses for professional teachers of Spanish as a foreign language organized by the same institution. Over 13 years of working with students that were not scholars initially. After learning skills to improve their educational/learning experience, they became more scholarly, and enjoyed learning. This is key. They just need to change their perspective, and learn how to make "learning" enjoyable, like it was in kindergarden.
My teaching style is interactive, many of my former students would characterize it as "coaching". I always empower the student to find their way and to have them become "pros" in the learning process. I do not do the work for them, but I show them how they can make their tasks and finishing them more efficient. Spanish is one of my top subjects! I'm currently teaching Spanish in a high school. I teach all the levels from 9th grade till 12th grade.

I am a Venezuelan native who arrived at the US a young age. Growing up as a kid, I frequently practice Spanish and English; the persistence of using both languages effectively allowed the love of translation and interpretation to seep in my heart.
