Life Science is one of my top subjects! Certified biology teacher with dual degrees in secondary education - biology and in animal science /. Pre-veterinary medicine. I have extensive background knowledge in a variety of biologically based classes such as genetics, anatomy & physiology, and ecology. My comments on tutoring Life Science : My education includes two degrees in the life sciences. My first one was animal science / pre-veterinary medicine. The second was secondary education with an emphasis in biology. I teach biology and have had plenty of experience in many of the biologically based sciences like ecology, genetics, and anatomy and physiology.

Bachelor's in secondary education with certification in biology. Bachelor's in animal science / pre-veterinary medicine. Taught general science to 7th and 8th graders for a year. I am a certified modeling teacher. Modeling is a "hands on" inquiry based style of teaching. I teach through allowing the students to deal with a given problem or scenario. I then use extensive amount of questioning to help the child to use their logic to solve the problem. After graduating with a degree in elementary education from Goshen College, I have gained many valuable experiences in the educational field. I have worked for two years in the elementary level at the first and second grades. I am currently working in the middle school level as a special education and Teacher of Record for 14 students with special needs. I have learned to modify every lesson to meet the needs of each student in order to help the achieve to the best of their ability.

I have a B.S. degree in Biology from Indiana University in Bloomington and I also have an M.B.A. I worked in the environmental field for 15 years prior. I bring in real live work experiences to the job. I taught 1 year at Providence Cristo Rey Highschool as a biology teacher. I taught grades 9/10.
