I love working with students and helping them to learn and understand. I believe that any student can understand any subject and that all students are able to succeed. I am an innovative, flexible, and patient individual. I am excited to work with students helping them to succeed in all that they do. As for a specific teaching style, I beleive that teachers should adapt how they teach. This ability to change is what allows all students to learn no matter past experiences in a given subject.
As someone who is working full-time and going to school full-time, I am driven to succeed in everything that I do. I believe that learning is best achieved in a comfortable, nothreatening enviroment. People learn best when they understand the importance of the material being taught, something I strive to convey to my students. While I can easily teach a didactic lecturing style, I feel that an interactive approach often better meets the needs of the students. Ultimately, education is a reflection of the students success and the teacher is merely a means to that end.
My experience in teaching is broad and varied. I have taught medical students, other physicians, technologists, as well as teaching at military facilities. In additiom, I have two school age children myself and I believe that I am their primary teacher. This varied teaching experience allows me to tailor my teaching methods to the students and has allowed me to gain a great fund of knowledge.
