I have recently graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in statistics. The coursework in this program has allowed me to gain an understanding of many areas of statistics and mathematics. In addition, I have learned grammatical skills through writing reports and essays in English classes. Since graduating from college, I have been instructing professionals and employees in safety behavior and safety management processes. I returned to the University of Northern Iowa to start working toward a Master Degree in Accounting so I might be able to teach again. I enjoyed teaching at the college level since you had few people that were not interested in learning.
I taught three years in a Public School system and thirteen years at Hamilton Business College at Mason City, Iowa. I taught all phases of accounting while at Hamilton. After I retired from teaching, I became the accountant for three different firms in Mason City ( an oral surgeon, ready mix company and a road contractor) for eight years. My Husband and I moved to a retirement community in Waukee about four years ago after spending 46 years in the Mason City-Clear Lake area.
