as a graduate of San Jose State University I have a lot of pride in my command of the English language. I am a stickler for proper grammar and spelling in all of the correspondence that I send. I have produced a wide variety of effective communication projects over the years and continue to strive for perfection. Children are not students. They are not tools, nor are they pieces of a larger machine. They are people, impressionable and as important as the rest of the world. So, then, why would we expect everyone to learn the same? To teach a child in any discipline requires, in some cases, finesse, and an ability to adapt to their needs. That is what I bring to the table. I believe in a laid-back, friendly approach to tutoring, one where the student's needs are met before those of the classroom. After all, how can a child be expected to learn if they can't be reached on their level?
