My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I took algebra I when i was in the 8th grade and made advanced top 5 of my class 93 average.

I prefer to have a fun learning environment. I think you learn from hearing, seeing, and doing.
I’ve had many years of practice in the tutoring field dealing with the fact that my brother has a learning disability. He likes to have fun and thinks that leaning is boring, so I try to make learning as fun as possible. Then I have my student on student tutoring when the students tutor each other. I think its better that way because most students don't really pay attention to their teachers but they take it better when it comes from another student. Sometimes its better because something you understand they may not understand and when you explain it to them then may be they will understand it a little better. Basically what im saying is that some kids learn better from other kids.

I have tutored 5+ people in college algebra (all earning A's) as well as helped high school students with algebra. I am probably best at writing papers and reading comprehension type tasks. A Little Bit About Me...

In high school, I was frequently the one that people came to for help. It was then that I realized I was extremely good at teaching. My senior year, I spent all day helping four different math teachers, one of which was frequently absent. In order to keep her class from falling behind, she had me make notes and go over practice problems with her classes. I spent quite a bit of my free time working on notes and worksheets, and giving step by step instructions to other children. Algebra I is one of my top subjects! Math, Math, makes me laugh, but Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally becasue she dosn't find it funny seeing as how i use her to to solve most of my equations.

In 2009 I was selected by my Engineering Teacher to tutor his afternoon tutoring class because he had another class to teach and could'nt be in two places at the same time. I was chosen because of how proficient i was in mathematics, my ability to go and find it if I did'nt know, my willingness to help others, and because I withheld a GPA of 4.0.

I first discovered my love of teaching when I was in the Boy Scouts teaching younger scouts skills like building a fire or pitching a tent.
