Experience tutoring MS, PhD, post-doctoral, or resident-interns in the medical field. I also have tutored established PE type engineers and MBAs for executive type presentations. Have tutored high school and undergrad as well. The teaching style is adaptable, but I prefer tutor either in a university library, coffee house, or classroom environment. My teaching style depends on the student, it is adaptable. Some people are more visual, others are more lecture type, it all depends on the person.

As a business professional I was continually called upon to make presentations to corporate personnel, owners, propert management personnel, and other interested parties. I made these presentations interesting and informative by inserting relative humor and everyday experiences. I was often requested back. As an instructor post-secondary education I enjoyed teaching and applying humor and every day events to the learning process. As a full-time adjunct instructor I taught accounting, business administration, creative writing, ethics, and math. For four years I had a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience. I have never believed in or practiced the lecture as a form of instruction. Rather I apply a program of hands-on repetition, a "walk me through it" approach whereby the student demonstrates what has been retained and understood and where we need to apply some more time.

As an honor student at the University of Texas at Arlington I was very much driven to achieve a high level of education. I have tutored for the university in subjects such as Finance, Accounting, Math, Biology and Economics, during my undergrad years. Currently I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Accounting, and I serve as a supplemental instructor for undergraduate students in Accounting subjects. I believe that all children can learn, although in different ways, and I believe that given a bit of positive reinforcement and helping someone to believe in his/her abilities enables them to reach their potential. I am extremely patient, and realize that everyone has different ways of learning, and given the right encouragement, children are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to.
