A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught, tutored, trained and mentored students of all ages for more than 15 years. My background includes being a math teacher and adjunct professor. I taught at colleges in New Jersey and at Duke University. The students I tutor are often in grades 5-12, in college or preparing to return to school. I also have several years experience applying math to real world situations, including data analysis and creating databases in Excel.
I love tutoring and mentoring. I naturally adapt my style to that of each student. As part of the instruction, I often ask easy questions to help them discover the rules of math for themselves.
