A Little Bit About Me...

In my experience as a teacher in the church,I have worked with a variety of students from young to old, from very intelligent to the mentally challenged. Thus I have learned to be flexible. One style does not suit all. With one on one or a small group, the ability to change to fit the student population is extremely important. I have taught, tutored, trained and mentored students of all ages for more than 15 years. My background includes being a math teacher and adjunct professor. I taught at colleges in New Jersey and at Duke University. The students I tutor are often in grades 5-12, in college or preparing to return to school. I also have several years experience applying math to real world situations, including data analysis and creating databases in Excel.
