Over the past twelve years I have taught a range of subjects including basic Math and English to students with a range of learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism. During the past two academic years I have tutored Math and Biology at a local private high school and have really enjoyed the experience. I have gained a bachelor degree in Mathematical science which involved studying two years of Biology and have a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology. By nature, I am very patient and especially with children. I know that every child has its own way of learning; based on that, I apply different strategy of teaching. Applying also real life situation in class can help students understand better and be more interested.
Education has always been my field of interest. When my children were young (8 and 4), I've been teaching in order to match my schedule with their school hours and vacations. With French as my mother's tongue and because I studied in French, I was very excited about the opportunity to serve the Foreign Langage Program initiated by the PTA at Montgomery County Public Schools in MD. As a graduate of the Department of Engineering at Vanderbilt University, I feel I am very qualified in tutoring Calculus 1 and 2. Not only have I taken the classes both in high school and during my time at Vanderbilt, the engineering curriculum reinforced these theories by integrating Calculus into nearly every core class that I took.
