My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. As a non-traditional student, I was able to gain a unique educational experience. I started off earning multiple degrees at a community college, then transferred to Temple to study Actuarial Science. The training I received while preparing for actuarial exams taught me how to think about and solve problems so thoroughly that I was able to teach any subject I learned.
