I am a recently graduated college student from Michigan with an intense passion for chess and teaching. In college, I helped run the Michigan State Chess Club first as vice-president and then as president. In 2015 and 2017, I won the Michigan Master/Expert Class Championship for class C and class B, respectively. After college, I was hired as the lead instructor for a local club. Currently, I tutor chess full time, both online and in-person, and many of my students have gone on to become top players.
When I teach I try to instill a deep love for the subject matter. My philosophy is that a student cannot be forced to learn but must want to learn.
