Teaching has been a life long goal for me. I decided I wanted to teach when I was in the third grade. My third grade teacher left an impression on me that lasted through out my life. I completed the elementary education program at Rhode Island College in May, 2006. I have been a substitute in the field for two years. I am actively searching for a permanent teaching position. I enjoy helping other people learn, and I get a sense of satisfaction when they grasp new information. I have tutored students needing help with homework assignments or studying for an exam. I requested that they bring their notes and textbook so that I use them as a reference when teaching. I can either answer specific questions or walk through the material. I ask the student questions about the material to make sure they understand the information completely.
